Hengeler Mueller advises Stellantis on the reorganisation of its German financing business

Automobile manufacturer and mobility provider Stellantis N.V. (Stellantis) has entered into agreements with several banks on the reorganisation of its European leasing and financial services business. Following the agreements, Stellantis and Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance will create a 50/50 multi-brand operational leasing joint venture, resulting from the combination of the previous Leasys and F2ML businesses. In addition, the financing activities (excluding B2B leasing) will be reorganised through joint ventures with BNP Paribas Personal Finance or Santander Consumer Finance to become the exclusive financing partner for all Stellantis brands in the respective countries. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the first half of 2023.
