Ørsted Salg & Service A/S (Ørsted) has entered into a multi-year agreement on the sale of natural gas to the Polish PGNiG Group. From 2023 to 1 October 2028, Ørsted expects to deliver approx. 70 TWh natural gas from the Danish part of the North Sea to PGNiG (which may vary based on mechanisms in the contract). For PGNiG, the agreement is an important part of its strategic goal to diversify the Polish gas procurement portfolio.
Hengeler Mueller advised Ørsted on the negotiation of the agreement. The team included counsel Andreas Breier and partner Nicolas Böhm (both Energy, Berlin). Kristian Simonsen (Legal) as well as Søren Thygesen Blad and Rene Le Prou (Commercial) led the negotiations on the Ørsted side.
