Hengeler Mueller advises Metsä Tissue on sale of napkin business to Mutares Group

Metsä Tissue, part of Finnish Metsä Group, has agreed to divest its napkin business to keeeper Group, part of Mutares Group. The transaction includes the entire operations at the Stotzheim mill in Germany, including the Fasana and Mondial brands. Closing of the transaction is subject to the approval from the German competition authorities and is planned in the first quarter of 2020.

Hengeler Mueller advises Metsä Tissue on the transaction. The team includes partners Joachim Rosengarten (Frankfurt), Jens Wenzel (Berlin) (both M&A), Hendrik Bockenheimer (Employment, Frankfurt), Dirk Uwer (Public Law) and Alf-Henrik Bischke (Antitrust) (both Düsseldorf) as well as associates Marius Mayer (Employment), Sebastian Heinrichs (Tax) (both Frankfurt), Moritz Rademacher (Public Law) and Christian Dankerl (Antitrust) (both Düsseldorf).
