Hengeler Mueller advises United Internet on voluntary public acquisition offer in form of partial offer

On 16 May, United Internet AG ("United Internet") has decided to submit a voluntary public acquisition offer in the form of a partial offer to acquire up to 16,250,827 no-par value bearer shares of 1&1 AG not already directly held by United Internet, corresponding to approx. 9.19% of the share capital.

With this offer, United Internet aims to further increase the existing stake in 1&1 of currently around 80.81% of capital stock and strengthen its voting majority. The offer document was published on 5 June.
