The Mitsubishi Pencil Company, Limited, a leading company in the manufacture of writing instruments, has announced that it has reached an agreement with C. Josef Lamy GmbH, headquartered in Heidelberg, Germany, to acquire all the shares of Lamy and the LAMY brand and make it a wholly-owned subsidiary. LAMY stands worldwide for high-quality designer writing instruments.
Mitsubishi Pencil was founded in Japan in 1887 and today employs more than 2,700 people worldwide. The company has 22 international sales offices and operates 11 production facilities.
