Hengeler Mueller advises KKR on the acquisition of a majority stake in Velero AG together with a residential portfolio

KKR, a leading global investment firm, has acquired a majority stake in Velero Immobilien AG ("Velero"), a residential asset manager, from its founders, who will remain co-investors. Part of the transaction is the acquisition of a portfolio with around 7,500 residential units currently managed by Velero for an institutional investor.

Hengeler Mueller advises KKR on the transaction. The team is led by partners Thomas Müller and Thomas Lang (both Real Estate/M&A) and includes partners Heinrich Knepper (Financing), Hendrik Bockenheimer (Employment) (all Frankfurt), Christian Schwandtner (Corporate/Management Incentive, Düsseldorf) and Markus Röhrig (Antitrust, Brussels) as well as associates Johannes Honzen, Caspar Conzen and Georg Tauser (all Real Estate/M&A), Pascal Brandt (Financing), Marius Mayer (Employment) (all Frankfurt), Adrian Cavin (Corporate/Management Incentive, Düsseldorf) and Malcolm Tiffin-Richards (Antitrust, Brussels).
