Hengeler Mueller advises Waterland on partnership with NETCONOMY

The European investment firm Waterland joins NETCONOMY as a co-shareholder. Martin Barzauner, founder and CEO of NETCONOMY, will retain a significant stake in the company and will continue to manage it. The transaction is subject to the usual approval by the antitrust authorities.

NETCONOMY GmbH is a leading provider of modern digital solutions with a focus on the SAP Customer Experience Suite (SAP CX) with its cloud-based applications for all customer-relevant processes of a company. Based in Graz, Austria, NETCONOMY supports major companies in creating fully integrated customer experiences that connect all customer contact points - online and offline. NETCONOMY's presence already extends across ten locations throughout Europe.

Hengeler Mueller acts as lead counsel to Waterland in Austria and cooperates with Binder Grösswang on aspects of Austrian law of the transaction.

Waterland Private Equity Investments B.V. (Waterland) is an independent private equity investment firm with approximately EUR 14 billion of equity capital under management. It has invested extensively in the digitalization, IT and telecommunications sectors.
