Hengeler Mueller advises Marburg on the launch of a special fund in a Europe-wide tender process

The University City of Marburg has successfully completed its Europe-wide procurement procedure started in May 2022 for the setup of its own investment fund. In the special fund with three parallel segments, the city's liquid assets are to be invested securely, profitably and sustainably, initially in a mid three-digit million euro amount.

The City's contractual partners chosen in the negotiations with a large field of bidders are Universal-Investment-Gesellschaft mbH as master capital management company and portfolio manager (Lot 1), ODDO BHF Asset Management GmbH and Allianz Global Investors GmbH as portfolio managers of the other segments (Lot 2) and Landesbank Baden-Württemberg as depositary (Lot 3).
