The investment, asset and fund manager Hamburg Trust has entered into a joint venture with Lupp Group for the realisation of the "LEIQ" office project in Offenbach. The construction company is joining the project as an equal partner and has been commissioned as general contractor. The property, one of the first CO2-neutral office buildings in Germany, will have approx. 27,000 m² of rental space. Anchor tenant is the Danish company Danfoss with its new German headquarters.

Hengeler Mueller advised Hamburg Trust on the transaction. The team was led by partner Peter Weyland (M&A/Real Estate, Frankfurt) and included partners Markus Ernst (Tax, Munich), Daniela Böning (Financing, Frankfurt) and Alf-Henrik Bischke (Antitrust, Düsseldorf) as well as associates Nicholas Kubesch (M&A/Real Estate, Frankfurt), Tobias Schwab (Tax, Munich), Rudolf Mehl (Financing, Frankfurt) and Kyra Brinkmann (Antitrust, Düsseldorf).

Hengeler Mueller had already advised Hamburg Trust on the dissolution of its prior joint venture for the "LEIQ" office project with the project developer Oxalis in February 2021.
