Hengeler Mueller advises Glencore on the acquisition of the business operations of Weser-Metall group out of insolvency

Swiss Glencore Group acquires the business operations of Weser-Metall GmbH out of insolvency. Weser-Metall, a group company of the French-German Recylex Group, operates one of the largest lead smelters in Europe and is one of Europe’s leading recycling companies for lead-containing waste. In connection with the transaction, Glencore concluded comprehensive agreements with the state of Lower Saxony and the district of Wesermarsch on future cooperation as well as on economic and environmental improvements of the site.

Hengeler Mueller advised Glencore on the transaction.
