Hengeler Mueller advises Girl Up Berlin e.V. pro bono on data protection law

Hengeler Mueller advised Girl Up Berlin e.V. pro bono on data protection issues relating to establishing the association and setting up its activities. Girl Up Berlin e.V. is committed to promoting equality for girls and young women throughout Germany, enabling them to reach their full potential and pursue their ambitions independently – regardless of their ethnic background, gender identity or social expectations.

As an affiliate of the United Nations' Girl Up initiative, the association not only implements specific measures to promote equality and empowerment of women in line with Goal 5 ‘Gender Equality’ of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, but also offers a mentoring programme through which interested individuals can advise and support young women.
