Hengeler Mueller advises Gesellschaft für Kapitalmarktforschung on spin-off of SAFE as new Leibniz Institute

The Research Center SAFE ("Sustainable Architecture for Finance in Europe") in the House of Finance at Goethe University Frankfurt has become a member of the Leibniz Association as of 1 January 2020. The Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE is dedicated to interdisciplinary research of the financial markets and their players in Europe as well as to science-based, independent policy advice. The Institute focuses on the cooperation of researchers from the fields of economics and law, as well as political science and sociology.

Hengeler Mueller advised the Gesellschaft für Kapitalmarktforschung e.V., the previous legal umbrella of SAFE, on the spin-off as well as on further civil and public law matters connected with the formal separation. The team included partners Nicolas Böhm (Corporate) and Wolfgang Spoerr (Public Law) as well as associate Niclas Bettien (Corporate) (all Berlin).
