Hengeler Mueller advises Berliner Sparkasse on reorganisation of consumer loan business

In August 2024, Berliner Sparkasse and Deutsche Leasing decided to expand the group of shareholders for their joint venture S-Kreditpartner GmbH (SKP). The Sparkassen-Verbundgesellschaft (SKP-VG), which was founded specifically for this purpose - under the umbrella of the Deutscher Sparkassen- und Giroverband ö.K. (DSGV) - will be added as a third shareholder by the end of the year.

This reorganisation enables SKP to continue to consolidate its successful business model as a specialist for car and consumer loans and to expand further in the future.

Following completion of the transaction, which is subject to customary regulatory conditions, Berliner Sparkasse and Deutsche Leasing will each hold 40 per cent and SKP-VG 20 per cent of SKP.

Hengeler Mueller advises Berliner Sparkasse comprehensively on the transaction.
