Hengeler Mueller advises AXA Deutschland on the sale of a life and pensions insurance portfolio to Athora Germany

Hengeler Mueller advised AXA Deutschland on the carve-out and sale of a closed EUR 14bn portfolio of life and pensions insurance reserves to Athora Germany. The buyer specialises in portfolio acquisitions and reinsurance solutions in the German life insurance sector. Closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
