Hengeler Mueller secures the Federal Cartel Office's approval for Andros' acquisition of Spreewaldkonserve Golßen

On 24 June 2021, the Federal Cartel Office approved Andros Deutschland GmbH's acquisition of Spreewaldkonserve Golßen GmbH, including its Hungarian subsidiary Schenk és Társa Kft. Andros Deutschland GmBH is part of the Andros et Cie Group (France). The parties had signed and notified the deal to the Federal Cartel Office in January 2021. Following an in-depth investigation (so-called "phase 2"), the Federal Cartel Office concluded that the deal did not raise any competition concerns and granted unconditional approval.

Hengeler Mueller advised Andros in the FCO's merger review process. The team included Brussels partner Markus Röhrig as well as associates Anja Balitzki and Sara Jungewelter (both Düsseldorf) (all antitrust).

Hengeler Mueller's Brussels team represents international clients in merger control clearance proceedings before the European Commission and national antitrust authorities and advises on all EU competition law and state aid matters.
