Hengeler Mueller advises Novacap and Syntax on acquisition of the Freudenberg IT business

The Canadian IT service provider Syntax, a portfolio company of private equity investor Novacap, has entered into an agreement on the acquisition of the IT business of the family-owned technology company Freudenberg. Freudenberg IT Group with headquarters in Weinheim and its affiliated companies in the US, China, Mexico and Slovakia is a global leader in managed IT services for the midmarket manufacturing industry, covering all modern SAP systems. Closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals and the approval of the antitrust authorities.

Hengeler Mueller advises Novacap and Syntax on the transaction in an integrated team with Boston law firm Choate Hall & Stewart. Both firms have already worked together successfully in the past. Further involved law firms are Jun He for China, Solcargo for Mexico and Glatzova for Slovakia.
