Hengeler Mueller advises Lightyear Capital on acquisition of PayByPhone

Lightyear Capital, a New York-based private equity firm with over US$7 billion in assets under management, has signed an agreement to acquire PayByPhone from Corpay.

PayByPhone is a leading provider of digital parking payment solutions and parking management software to more than 1,300 clients globally.

The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.

Hengeler Mueller advised Lightyear Capital on German aspects of the transaction, together with best friends law firm Bredin Prat (France) and lead counsel Davis Polk (United States).
