CGI (TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE: GIB), one of the world's largest independent IT and business consulting firms, through its wholly-owned subsidiary CGI Deutschland BV & Co. KG, has signed an agreement to acquire Novatec Consulting GmbH. Novatec is an IT services company specialising in agile software development, digital products and strategic business and IT consulting. More than 300 IT and consulting experts headquartered in the Stuttgart metro market as well as in 7 other German locations and in Granada (Spain) will expand CGI's presence in the manufacturing and financial services industry with a special focus on the automotive industry and e-mobility. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
