Hengeler Mueller advises AXA Germany on merger of Deutsche Ärzte Finanz with apoFinanz

The Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank (apoBank) and AXA Germany are combining their sales activities. The merger of the mobile sales agencies Deutsche Ärzte Finanz (DÄF) and apoFinanz will create the largest financial sales organisation for academic healthcare professions in Germany.

As part of the transaction, apoFinanz, in which apoBank and Deutsche Ärzteversicherung (DÄV) as part of the AXA Group currently hold a 50% stake each, will be merged into DÄF. apoBank will then increase its stake in DÄF to 49%, with the remaining 51% held by AXA Germany. The transaction is expected to be closed in August 2025.

Hengeler Mueller advised AXA Germany comprehensively on the transaction.
