Hengeler Mueller advises KKR on acquisition of i&u TV

Funds advised by KKR announced the purchase of i&u TV. i&u is a German television production company for information as well as entertainment formats founded by Günther Jauch. The company produces television shows such as "stern TV", "Klein gegen Groß", "Die Ultimative Chartshow" or "Menschen, Bilder, Emotionen" for Germany's most popular television channels. i&u works, in addition to Günther Jauch, with show presenters such as Barbara Schöneberger, Thomas Gottschalk, Kai Pflaume, Jörg Pilawa and Oliver Pocher.

i&u is planned to complement the independent group of companies for film and TV content that KKR is creating around Tele München Gruppe and Universum Film, which it purchased already in February 2019.
